DIRECT THRUST CONTROL SCHEME FOR A TUBULAR LINEAR BRUSHLESS PERMANENT-MAGNET ACTUATOR

Abstract
This paper investigates a suitable control scheme for tubular linear brushless permanent-magnet actuator (TLBLPMA) with the aim of revealing its efficiency in terms of fast and accurate dynamic response. Direct thrust control is proposed for a twophase TLBLPMA prototype, with its peculiarities in terms of dynamic performance. Simulation results for the direct thrust-controlled TLBLPMA drive system are presented.
