DIRECTIONS OF STRUCTURAL CORRECTION OF REGIONAL ECONOMY: TERRITORIAL ASPECT

Abstract
For the years of the reforms, in the process of transition to the market method of manage, there were difficult transformation processes in the domestic economy, connected with the change of the economy structure. Thus the transition period was accompanied by a considerable transformation decline which according to its characteristics had no analogues in the world history. In these conditions, the search of directions of national and regional economies structural changes and the drawing up the recommendations on the realization of socio-economic transformation become particularly actual and important.The state of the institutional support of regional policy execution as one of the criteria of the state control of the economy is considered. The main reasons for the existence of regional economies structural disproportions were found out. The conceptual principles of modern regional development were investigated and the main ways of their structural correction were described. Attention is paid to the necessity of overcoming the structural deformation in regions with the purpose of realization of structural economy reorganization. A special attention is paid to the first-priority goals of the structural reorganization of the Ternopil region's economy. Taking into account the fact that structural correction of regional economies is a primary task of the state, its main task should become the structural reorganization of industry and socio-economic reforms, directed at the proper level of the population living standards and adaptation of industrial production to the newest tendencies.
