DISCRETE MATHEMATICAL FILTERS OF VIDEO INFORMATION PROCESSING FOR AUTOMATIC IMAGE COMPONENTS DETECTION AND MARKING
Journal Title: ROMANIAN JOURNAL OF TECHNICAL SCIENCES - APPLIED MECHANICS - Year 2010, Vol 55, Issue 3
Abstract
In this paper we shall discretize two classes of mathematical filters intended for the video image analysis with the purpose to automatically detect and mark the components that these images contain. Unlike the classical mathematical filters, their discrete correspondent defined by us in this paper has the advantage of being more adaptable to the specific character of a video image, which is discrete by its nature. From this point of view the research that we have undertaken will present not only theoretical interest but also a strong practical character, simplifying considerably the work of software developers.

EFFECT OF DISTORTION ON THE STRUCTURAL BEHAVIOUR OF THIN-WALLED STEEL REGULAR POLYGONAL TUBES
This paper addresses the effect of cross-section distortion on the structural behaviour of thin-walled tubes with single-cell regular convex polygonal crosssections (RCPS) and provides an in-depth view on the underlying...
EXPERIMENTAL AND NUMERICAL ASPECTS REGARDING LEAD ALLOY PLASTIC DEFORMATION
The aim of this paper is to present an experimental and finite element analysis (FEA) of the cold forward extrusion of lead alloy. The influence of die angle, reduction ratio and ram speed on the extrusion force during t...
A HYBRID CBR-NEURAL ADAPTATION ALGORITHM FOR HUMANOID ROBOT CONTROL BASED ON KALMAN BALL TRACKING
Controlling autonomous, humanoid robots in a dynamic, continuous, and real-time environment is a complex task, especially behavior control and robot ball tracking problems. This paper presents a hybrid Probabilistic CBR-...
THIN FILMS FLOW DRIVEN BY GRAVITY AND A SURFACE TENSION GRADIENT
The flow of a thin layer on a horizontal plate in the lubrication approximation is considered. The flow is driven simultaneously by gravity and some gradients of surface tension. These gradients imply a non-zero tangenti...
