DISCURSIVE ANALYZE OF ATTITUDE TO THE WEALTH AND POVERTY IN THE TEXT OF RUSSIAN FOLK TALES

Abstract
In the article we analyze linguistic and cultural attitude to the wealth / poverty in the texts of Russian folk tales. The results of the analysis allow us to make a reasonable conclusion about the axiological ambivalence of ordinary Russian economic perception. Discursive cognition in relation to the wealth / poverty reflects the ideal side of economic interaction. For example, in the Russian fairy tales the desired, ideal economic model, which in most cases differs from the reality, is described through the behavior of the characters. However it is well to determine the value systems of ordinary Russian economic perception. Material wealth does enhance the importance or the social status of the individual, but at the same time it is a well-deserved reward for the one who has good moral character. The absence of need to pursue the material wealth is one of the conditions of gaining it. Material wealth requires a kind of justification by its owner in the eye of the people: the man who does not deserve the wealth, must be deprived of it, while the restoration of justice means to take away from the unworthy his wealth and give it to the poor, or «miraculously» to make the worthy rich giving him a financial reward. Discursive cognition in relation to wealth / poverty in the texts of Russian folk tales indicates axiological asymmetry: the wealth — is sinful and shameful, the wealth is a reward for good heart and hard work, poverty is a suffering and deprivation, poverty is a sign of pure conscience and righteousness.
