ДО ПРОБЛЕМИ ПРОФЕСІЙНОЇ ПІДГОТОВКИ ВЧИТЕЛІВ АНГЛІЙСЬКОЇ МОВИ В УКРАЇНІ

Abstract
Political, social and economic changes taking place in the modern society cause essential transformations in the educational system of Ukraine. Dynamics of social processes entail new strategic trends in the reorganization of educational process higher institutions of vocational education. In the framework of the “Year of the English language” in Ukraine, the initiative Go Global was founded in order to manage the national action plan “Ukraine Speaking”. The latter aims at increasing of demand for learning of the English language and also at redirection of information environment to the use of the English language in the majority of spheres. The “Ukraine Speaking” plan realizes a number of components, in particular establishment of the national program of foreign languages learning popularization and introduction of new standards in teaching and assessment of foreign languages in the system of secondary and higher education. In this context, appropriate language training must be delivered by the teachers, who not only have the profound language knowledge and skills, but also possess sufficient general theoretic and methodological knowledge and skills and are able to put them into practice in order to train specialists with good possession of English to all the spheres of life.
