Abstract
There has been significant development in early intervention services, early rehabilitation and psychological support for families in Ukraine in the recent years. This article covers design and results of research of 42 families with disabled children of early age. The parameters of parents-child emotional interaction, quality of life in the family and developmental delay of children were evaluated. The analysis was performed through the Questionnaire On Parents-Child Emotional Interaction (E. Zacharova), Family Quality of Life (FQOL) and KID/RCDI scale. The results of evaluations were analyzed with statistic methods (correlation analysis), which revealed a number of significant correlations. The article further describes these substantial correlations between degrees of child developmental delay and emotional sphere of family interaction. The author also addresses implications of these findings and identifies possible directions for future research.
