Abstract

All those working in the field of extracting underground resources should understand an important rule of natural laws: "Natural is subject to a state of anxious stability" . Therefore, the imbalance that we will cause today in any activity we carry out in the ground will cause instability in the system, and create a new situation of anxiety stability, and it is no secret that the process of extraction of oil is usually associated with side effects of disturbing and influential on human activity, including fissuring the ground over oil investment areas as an example of this the faults of Thayyem. The report of the committee of experts who studied the phenomenon indicated that there is a relationship between the expansion of the Thayyem Fissure and the water injection process, but the exact explanation of the phenomenon was not provided. Therefore, we prepared this study to highlight the negative impact of the processes accompanying the extraction of oil. we tried to explain this phenomenon and understand the causes of their emergence, as we demonstrated direct relationship between water injection operations and seismic activity.
