Investigation of Formation Grain Size Effect on Resistivity Factor
Journal Title: Libyan Journal of Engineering Science and Technology - Year 2022, Vol 2, Issue 2
Abstract
— The aim of this paper is to study the effect of degree of sorting of grain size on formation resistivity factor. Formation resistivity factor is usually determined either experimentally tests or by using empirical approach. Using some core samples from oil fields, many empirical correlation was obtained to determine the effect of degree of sorting of grain on formation resistivity factor. Using the best fit curve, the best correlation coefficients are obtained and compared to independent data base to validate the model prediction.
