Smart Software Design for Tracking Solar Shade System
Journal Title: Libyan Journal of Engineering Science and Technology - Year 2021, Vol 1, Issue 1
Abstract
Abstract— This paper describes the steps of smart software design for tracking Solar Shade system. The system is based on Automatic Building Integrated Solar Shade (ABISS). ABISS is designed using Proteus software to simulate behavior of the system. The system is designed to track the position of the sun automatically to improve efficient energy harvest. Light Dependent Resistors (LDRs) are used to detect the light intensity of the sun. Based on its signal, the microcontroller gives a signal to the motor driver to energize the unipolar stepper motor. The microcontroller resumes operation caused by an external interrupt from a Real Time Clock (RTC) after 15 minutes of sleep. Furthermore, The embedded code is developed by using C language to achieve the all functions of the ABISS design. The simulation model is designed and developed to generate constant, reliable, and efficient power supply. Finally, applied to real model to serve as a teaching tool for engineering students.
