Abstract
Two letters from 1652, from Jerzy Grabowski to Jan Sobiepan Zamoyski, reporting disruption of Sejm deliberations by deputy from Upyte The first Sejm of 1652 was disrupted by a deputy from Upyte, Władysław Siciński. It became a symbol of crisis of Old Poland’s parliamentarianism. It is not clear to this day, at whose orders Siciński had acted. Report from the Sejm session, published here, was presented by Jerzy Grabowski in a letter to Jan Sobiepan Zamoyski. It conveys the popular anecdotal information, that disruption of Sejm was effected upon orders from Lithuanian Field Hetman Janusz Radziwiłł.
