DYNAMIC MODELS OF ION-SELECTIVE ELECTRODES WITH THEIR ELECTRONIC INTERFACE
Journal Title: Metrology and Measurement Systems - Year 2006, Vol 13, Issue 4
Abstract
Dynamic models of an ion-selective electrode are analysed in this article taking into account the independence of values of its dynamic parameters from the value and direction of activity change. Unfortunately, a complicated mathematical representation of a new model makes the model difficult to be applied in practice. Therefore, some simplifications are made constructing two semi-empirical models: 1) a model with the k parameter and 2) a model basing on two other models well-known from the literature. Verifications of the new models have been performed using the measuring set-up built in the Division of Measurement Systems at the Silesian University of Technology. Obtained results proved that the model with the k parameter completely fulfils the goal of the article − its dynamic parameters are dependent on the slightest degree of the kind of activity step.

EVALUATION OF CMM FOR FLATNESS MEASUREMENTS
Coordinate measuring machine (CMM) is a universal measuring instrument in dimensional metrology. However, the CMM has many sources of errors and deviations that affect its precision and accuracy. Unfortunately, the accur...
ON IMPROVEMENT OF SAMPLING TECHNIQUE DESIGNED FOR PRECISE ROOT MEAN SQUARE MEASUREMENTS
A method for precise root mean square (RMS) measurement of periodic signals based on signal reconstruction is analysed. The RMS value of a signal under test is determined in three steps. In the first step, the Fourier co...
THE TRANSPORTATION DISTANCE FOR FUZZY DESCRIPTIONS OF MEASUREMENTS
Fuzzy nominal scales were introduced in order to propose a formalism to the representation of empirical quantities by fuzzy subsets of words. This scale proposes a similarity relation and an associated bounded distance t...
DIGITAL MEASUREMENT OF TRANSIENT DISTURBANCES IN ELECTRIC POWER NETWORK WITH ADDITIONAL LOWPASS ANALOG CIRCUIT
The paper presents a DSP-based system for measurement of the short-term transient distortions in electric power networks. These distortions typically possess short duration times and high amplitude values and thus they a...
A NEW TRANSDUCER OF DOUBLE PROCESSING FOR CAPACITIVE TOMOGRAPHY
The paper presents a new solution of a system for the measurement of small capacities, applied in capacitive tomography. Some known versions of transducers have been discussed. Next, the author has presented his own solu...
