Economic and emergy aspects of the conventional and organic agricultural enterprises’ practice in Ukraine

Abstract
The research, the results of which are covered in the article, is devoted to the study of the economic and emergy aspects of conventional and organic farms’ practice in Ukraine. The profitability dynamics of the main types of conventional agricultural crop production was considered. It was found that during the study period the highest profitability had the grapes production, while the lowest one had the potatoes production. The emergy diagrams of the farms in Lviv region, growing conventional and organic tomatoes, were constructed. A comparative analysis of the emergy indicators of two tomato growing systems was carried out. It was established that the production of tomatoes according to organic standards is optimal for Ukrainian entrepreneurs and the environment.
