ECONOMIC COUNTERINTELLIGENCE AS A MODERN METHOD FOR PROTECTION OF STRATEGIC INFORMATION FOR A ORGANIZATION

Journal Title: Securitologia - Year 2013, Vol 17, Issue 1

Abstract

Economic counterintelligence is becoming an increasingly important tool in today's quality of enterprises. The main features of such quality are the dominance of information, human resources and the creativity on the material resources. The tool, if properly used, allows modern companies to obtain a competitive advantage, success and development. However, the policies for the protection of strategic information also play an important role. They are implemented through counter-intelligence activities whose aim should not only be the protection of information performed by creating barriers that prevent their passage into the competitive firms, but also providing the company with high quality information. The most strategic and the most sensitive company’s resource, vulnerable to a large-scale attack on the part of a competitive firm, is the human factor. The use of counter-intelligence tools allows us to protect this resource.
