Eczema herpeticum: A case report

Abstract

Eczema herpeticum is a disseminated herpes simplex virus infection of the skin in cases with a pre-existing dermatosis. The disease is occasionally life-threatening and frequently caused by herpes simplex virus types 1 and 2. We reported here a four-year-old boy with eczema herpeticum and discussed clinical characteristics, etiology and treatment of the disease
