EDUCATIONAL POTENTIAL OF DEVELOPMENT: INTERNATIONAL COMPARISONS ON THE BASIS OF STATISTICAL INDICATORS

Abstract
The importance of education as part of the development is evidenced by the fact that the educational characteristics of the countries included in all major indicators used for international comparisons. Examine the correlation characteristics of education used in comparing the competitiveness of countries for 2009 to 2011, revealed: 1) the significant correlation between quality of the educational system, quality of management school and internet access in schools and quality of the math and science education? which increases the degree of tightness; 2) identified increase in the degree of correlation between indicators of quality of education system and the availability of research and training services suggesting a trend towards greater interaction between science and education as a factor strengthening the competitiveness of the countries; 3) there is a growing correlation between the quality of education, the availability of research and training centers, extent of staff training and degree of such an important characteristic of the labor market as "Reliance on professional management," as well as the strengthening of linkages between such an important labor market as a "Brain drain" and similar educational characteristics. Multidimensional classification of OECD countries during the period allowed to reveal stable group of countries on the characteristics of the educational potential, the quality of education and labor market characteristics are directly related to education. Found the place of the Russian Federation in the OECD and BRICS on educational characteristics, as well as the main problems of the country in terms of competitiveness and opportunities for sustainable development.
