Effect of an Ayurvedic formulation on plaque psoriasis

Abstract

Psoriasis is a common inflammatory papulosquamous disease of skin with variable morphology, distribution, severity, and course. Psoriatic patients face many social and psychological problems because of its visibility, recurrence, persistence and difficult to treat. The present paper deals with a report of case series study evaluating the efficacy of Finbid (Zoetic Ayurvedics Pvt. Ltd.) which is an indigenous, non pharmacopoeial, herbomineral formulation as an oral administration for the treatment of plaque psoriasis. The duration of clinical study was 12 weeks and follow-up was done monthly. It was concluded that Finbid appears to be an effective and safe treatment for psoriasis even with long term use.
