Effect of Contextualized-Based E-Learning Modules in Chemistry 10 on Student’s Conceptual Understanding

Abstract

This study was undertaken to develop and validate Contextualized-Based e-Learning Modules in Chemistry 10 of Sta. Elena High School, City Schools Division of Marikina City, School Year 2022-2023. The researcher used descriptive research design in the study to evaluate the developed Contextualized-Based e-Learning Modules in Chemistry 10, and to assess the level of performance of the student respondents after the utilization of the mentioned material. The sources of data were the twenty (20) experts and twenty (20) Science teachers, as well as thirty (30) Grade 10 students. The teacher-respondents evaluated the material as Very Satisfactory with a grand weighted mean of 3.86 and 3.88 respectively and showed no significant difference. Meanwhile, the performance of the students as reflected in their pre-test and post-test results showed substantial increase from 62.50% to 90.60% and indicated significant difference. Furthermore, the respondents commended the aid that the e-learning module to learners as it contains informative content, while they suggested to further improve some of its parts for clearer instructions.
