Effect of estradiol on Photosynthetic pigments, proline and sugars in fennel

Journal Title: International Journal of Farming and Allied Sciences - Year 2013, Vol 2, Issue 17

Abstract

In this study investigated effects of estradiol on fennel. Estradiol is one of Mammalian sex hormones (MSH).It affected positively plant growth and development. The effect mechanisms have not been exactly elucidated, yet. Application 10-9M estradiol in spray form on fennel showed that MDA content decreased. The chlorophylls, proline and solution sugar content have increased with 10-9M estradiol. The roles of steroids in plant discussed in followed.
