Effect of Fresh Air Fraction on Heating Performance of Modified Ground-water Heat Pump

Abstract

In order to solve the problem that the energy consumption of air conditioning ( AC) system was increased with the increase of fresh air ratio, a groundwater source heat pump air-conditioning system with a fresh air preheater was proposed to realize the stage utilization of groundwater thermal energy. Based on the thermodynamic mathematical mode, the effects of fresh air ratio on the thermal loads, coefficient of performance ( COP) for heating and energy consumption of innovative and conventional groundwater source heat pump units were analyzed. The results show that the novel groundwater source heat pump unit has remarkable energy conservation effect compared with the conventional groundwater source heat pump unit. The energy saving rate of the novel groundwater source heat pump unit increases from 17. 4% to 32. 2% when the fresh air ratio changes from 10% to 50%. The novel groundwater source heat pump air conditioning system is suitable for large-scale public building central air-conditioning system with large population density.
