EFFECT OF LEARNED RESOURCEFULNESS ON TURNOVER INTENTION OF HOSPITAL PERSONNEL

Abstract
In order to increase human capital performance in hospitals having important role on public health, turnover intention which is an indicator of organizational commitment must be decreased. In this research, it was aimed to examine effects of learned resourcefulness on turnover intention. In this respect, (n=397) hospital personnel working in two education and research hospital operating in West Side of Istanbul in 2015 were subjected to survey, their learned resourcefulness and turnover intention levels were measured. According to results of the study, turnover intention levels showed statistically significant difference based on age, job type, vocational experience and education levels of personnel (p<0,05), whereas there was insignificant difference based on gender (p>0,05). For learned resourcefulness; two factors based on gender, five factors based on age, seven factors based on job type, four factors based on vocational experience and education showed statistically significant differences (p<0,05). According to correlation analysis, there were statistically significant and negative correlation between giving behavior and turnover intention, and positive correlation between taking help, delay and turnover intention
