Effect of maternal anemia on placental and fetal outcome
Journal Title: MedPulse -International Medical Journal - Year 2017, Vol 4, Issue 10
Abstract
Anemia during pregnancy is very common, More than one-quarter of the world’s population is anemic. Growth of the fetus is intricately linked with that of placenta, because placenta helps in transfer of nutrients and oxygen from mother to fetus. Placenta is a focus of increasing interest because significant pathology afflicts the placenta, often before affecting the fetus.
