Effect of Polymer Solutions on Efflux Time for Two Exit Pipe System
Journal Title: International Journal of Advances in Engineering, Science and Technology - Year 2011, Vol 1, Issue 1
Abstract
Experiments are performed for assessing the efflux time when water soluble polymer solutions are added to a open cylindrical tank drained by two exit pipes (The flow in each of the pipes is assumed to be turbulent). The polymer used is polyacrylamide (PAM). Experiments are performed for four different concentrations of polymer solutions and optimum concentration of polymer is found. A generalized correlation for friction factor is developed.

Complex solutions for Drinfeld-Sokolov-Wilson system
The direct algebraic method can be used to construct complex solutions of nonlinear evolution equations. In this work we construct the complex solutions of the Drinfeld-Sokolov-Wilson system.
