Effect of the Critical Angular Momentum on Incomplete Fusion Dynamics
Journal Title: Journal of Nuclear Physics, Material Sciences, Radiation and Applications - Year 2015, Vol 3, Issue 1
Abstract
An attempt has been made to calculate the critical angular momentum (ℓcrit ) from the experimentally measured total ER cross-sections and are compared with Bass model predictions (using PACE-2). A comparison between experimentally measured and theoretically calculated critical angular momentum for the systems 16O + 45Sc and 16O + 74ge has been done. In case of 16O + 45Sc system, it is found that the experimentally measured ℓcrit values are slightly lower than the theoretically calculated values at projectile energies from 66 to 114 MeV. the low values of ℓcrit associated with ICf-channels for this system suggests that at these projectile energies, ICf may not be strictly associated with peripheral collision. Instead there appears to be deeper penetration of the projectile with the target at these beam energies. But for the system 16O +74ge at projectile energies from 65 to 112 MeV, the experimentally measured ℓcrit -values are consistent with theoretically calculated values. this shows that ℓcrit -values associated with ICf channels for this system suggests that at these projectile energies, ICf may be associated with peripheral collision.

Application of a CdTe Detector for Measurements of Mammographic X-ray Spectra
This work aims to characterize mammographic x-ray beams incident and transmitted by breast phantoms (from 0 to 45 mm) composed from known proportion of glandular and adipose tissue-equivalent materials. This study was pe...
In vitro Study of the Survival, Reproduction and Morphology of Daphnia pulicaria irradiated with a Low Energy Laser
Daphnia is a genus of crustaceans that is representative of freshwater communities. The species exhibit a high sensitivity to a wide range of toxic compounds so that they have been used internationally as biomonitors in...
NaI(Tl) Scintillator's Response Functions for Point-like and Distributed Gamma-ray Sources
The response functions of a NaI(Tl) detectors have been estimated using Monte Carlo methods. Response functions were calculated for monoenergetic photon sources (0.05 to 3 MeV). Responses were calculated for point-like s...
Understanding the Basics of Final Unification With Three Gravitational Constants Associated With Nuclear, Electromagnetic and Gravitational Interactions
With three fundamental gravitational constants assumed to be associated with strong interaction, electromagnetic interaction and gravity, we review the basics of final unification.
Analysis and characterization of neutron scattering of a Linear Accelerator (LINAC) on medical applications.
In several theoretical and experimental studies, the topic of the undesirable generation of photoneutrons in rooms where a linear accelerator (LINAC) operates has been discussed. When energies above 10 MeV are used to pr...
