Effect of the use of new culture flasks in the production process of biofactories

Journal Title: Biotecnología Vegetal - Year 2002, Vol 2, Issue 3

Abstract

The present work was carried out with the purpose of determining the effectiveness of use the introduction of a new bottle of culture (500 mL of capacity) in the productive process of the biofactories. The comparison with other two glass container, 350 and 250 mL of capacity, in aspects was made that affect the productivity in the culture medium elaboration area and in the cabinet laminar flow. The use of the plastic bottle favored the development of the productive process of the biofactories since it was possible to diminish the index of losses by breakage and microbial contamination, was increased the productivity in the different areas of the biofactories increased as well as it made possible the enhance of the productive capacity in the growth room. The plastic flask in the productive process constituted a technological innovation representing a tool of great usefulness for the increase of the productive efficiency .
