Effects of Diesel Oxidation Catalyst on Particulates Emission from Diesel Engine
Journal Title: 河南科技大学学报(自然科学版) - Year 2016, Vol 37, Issue 1
Abstract
In order to study the effects of diesel oxidation catalyst( DOC) on the characteristics of particulates emission from diesel engine, the particulates of three high-load conditions of the CY4102-CE4 B diesel engine were collected respectively. The method of thermo-gravimetric analysis was used to investigate the volatile and oxidation properties of the particulates at the upstream and downstream of DOC. The results indicate that the contents of volatile organic fractions are increased as passing through DOC. The post-DOC particulate presents higher weight loss rate in air, indicating that the oxidative reactivity of the particulates can be increased with the help of DOC,which is especially obvious at 2 050 r / min and 290 N•m.
