Effects of different levels of humic acid, amino acid and fulvic acid on the growth and yield of basil plants

Journal Title: International Research Journal of Applied and Basic Sciences - Year 2015, Vol 9, Issue 10

Abstract

In order to investigate effect of different levels of humic acid, amino acid and fulvic acid on growth and and yield of basil plants, an experiment was performed as a design of completely randomized with 10 treatment and 3 replication. Growth parameters such as leaf area, fresh and dry weight, chlorophyll a,b and yield essential oil were measured. The results showed that treatments significantly influenced growth parameters. The results showed that the application of 100 mg/L fulvic acid treatment enhanced chlorophyll a,b and total. On the other hand, application 300mg/L amino acid are promote of leaf area and fresh and dry weight. Application of control treatment enhanced percent phenol and essential oil. Therefore, application of treatments could improve the growth and yield of basil plants.
