Abstract
In the article the question of the influence of the «splitting» of economic theory, which occurred in Х1Х century, the process of formation and the current state of the science. Dana critical assessment of some of the most important provisions of both Western and Marxist economic theory. The reasons due to which neither the first nor the second direction can not contribute to the elimination problems of socio-class contradictions of modern society.
