Effects of Structural Damage on Dynamic Behavior at Sandwich Composite Beams - Part I-Theoretical Approach
Journal Title: Analele Universitatii "Eftimie Murgu" Resita. Fascicula de Inginerie - Year 2014, Vol 21, Issue 1
Abstract
This paper series presents an analysis regarding the dynamics of sandwich composite beams, embedded at one end, in order to highlight the effect of geometrical and material discontinuities upon the natural frequencies. In first part (Part I), analysis was performed with Euler- Bernoulli analytical method for determining the vibration modes and in second part (Part II), analysis was performed with numerical simulation in SolidWorks software for a five-layer composite. In the last section of the paper, an example is shown regarding how to interpret the obtained results.

The Quality Analysis of the Thermal Sprayed Deposited Layers by Electronically Microscopy
The analysis performed by electronically microscopy lead to obtain the experimental data under tabular form. A linear chemical quantitative analysis over a 228.87 μm length was made of on a microscopically image at 250x...
Aspects regarding the Calculation of the Dielectric Loss Angle Tangent between the Windings of a Rated 40 MVA Transformer
The paper aims to identify how to determine the dielectric loss angle tangent of the electric transformers from the transformer stations. Autors of the paper managed a case study on the dielectric established between hig...
On-line Identification of the DC motor Parameters by using Least Mean Square Recursive Method
The on-line least square parameters (electrical and mechanical) identification method of the separately DC motor is presented in this paper. The parameters of the DC machine are time dependent; therefore, for the DC driv...
Power System Restoration with Black-Start Pump Storage Power Plants
One of the main duties of a transmission system operator (TSO) is to be prepared for the power system worst case, which means to restore the power system operation after a total blackout. To this aim two main principles...
Simple and Multi-collision of an Ellipsoid with Planar Surfaces. Part I: Theory
This paper discusses the problem of simultaneous collisions between an ellipsoid and some planar surfaces. The approach is one based on the theory of screws and uses the notion of inertance. The authors consider that th...
