Journal Title: IOSR journal of Business and Management - Year 2018, Vol 20, Issue 6
Abstract
This study uses internal risk variables, external risks, and cultural risk mitigation to examine the effects of these risk variables on project success and project efficiency as a mediating variable. Data from 179 employees from four contractor companies who work on mining in South Sulawesi revealed that internal risks negatively affect project efficiency but are positive for project success; external risk positively affects project efficiency and negatively affects project success; cultural risk mitigation positively affects both project efficiency and project success; and project efficiency does not mediate the relationship between internal risks, external risks, and cultural risk mitigation on project success. A number of theoretical and practical implications of the present invention are discussed in the context of Indonesia and globally.
