Efficient Application of Selected Mapping with Clipping for PAPR Reduction in OFDM Systems
Journal Title: Bonfring International Journal of Research in Communication Engineering - Year 2014, Vol 4, Issue 1
Abstract
Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) is an inimitable technology in wireless communication. High peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) is a challenging issue in OFDM system. Large PAPR results in significant distortion in OFDM signal when passed through nonlinear high power amplifier. Selected mapping (SLM) is an efficient technique to reduce PAPR. In this work we efficiently apply SLM technique with clipping to reduce PAPR. And the simulation results show that the proposed techniques have better PAPR reduction performance than conventional Selected Mapping technique and SLM with interleaving

Analysis and Comparison of a Coplanar Waveguide and Micro Strip based Rectenna
In this paper, a modified form of rectenna has been designed for wireless power transmission. Generally, rectenna is nothing but a rectifying antenna which is very much useful for converting RF power into usable DC power...
Design and Development of Gaussian Minimum Shift Keying (GMSK) Demodulator for Satellite Communication
This paper discusses DSP based implementation of Gaussian Minimum Shift Keying (GMSK) demodulator using Polarity type Costas loop. The demodulator consists of a Polarity type Costas loop for carrier recovery, data recove...
Towards Realization of Large-Scale Botnet Probing Events
Today?s attack scenery is governed by Botnets. Botnet refer to a group of bots?a sort of malware which allows an attacker to achieve complete control over the affected computer. Botnets are often run by malicious program...
An Improved MAC Address Based Intrusion Detection and Prevention System in MANET Sybil Attacks
A Mobile Adhoc Network is a communication medium that does not rely on secure infrastructure .It is a group of independent mobile nodes that can transfer to communicate each other via radio waves. These networks are full...
An Efficient Real Time Query System for Public Transportation Service using Zigbee and RFID
In recent decades, the number of vehicles in India has increased enormously, which results in rigorous traffic congestion and pollution in urban areas, especially during peak hours. This paper describes an implementation...
