Abstract

The given work presents the analysis of theoretical and experimental studies of coal-water fuel transportation by industrial pipeline transport. It has been established that further improvement of energy efficiency can be achieved by producing rational composition of coal-water fuel in terms of rheological properties and its energy performance. On the basis of experimental studies, rheological and hydrodynamic properties of coal-water fuel have been determined; regularities of influence of the particle size distribution of the solid component of coal-water fuel on its characteristics have been determined, which made it possible to define the optimal particle size distribution from the point of view of the pressure specific loss during hydrotransportation of fuel at various concentrations of the solid phase (60, 62.5 and 65 %). Approximation regularities of changes in energy costs on transportation have been obtained depending on the properties of the power fluid and the modes of its transportation.
