El arte rupestre de la Peña Rubia (Cehegín). Revisión del conjunto
Journal Title: Alquipir - Year 2022, Vol 10, Issue 1
Abstract
At the beginning of the 80s, the cave paintings of the Peña Rubia of Cehegín were discovered, which are distributed in three caves, used since the Eneolithic. The scenes represented are hunts, in which men hunt male animals using the eye-gazing technique, and female figures are also observed who do not take part directly in the hunt but participate in it in some way. The weapons are bows and spears, including various types of arrows; and clothing is identified in some figures, similar to material found there. The paintings are votive in nature, perhaps funerary.
