EL NUEVO TEATRO DE LA MEMORIA: LA REPRESENTACIÓN DEL DOLOR Y LA MUERTE

Abstract
Este ensayo, que da cuenta también del libro de la investigadora cubano-mexicana Ileana Diéguez sobre la “estética de la muerte” del arte contemporáneo de carácter liminal, es una refl exión sobre el estatus estético del performance y de la instalación, así como de los hechos afines en la cultura actual de la violencia que viven las sociedades latinoamericanas. Diéguez realiza una inscripción filosófica de estas manifestaciones fronterizas dando cuenta de sus implicaciones antropológicas, políticas y artísticas. El artículo pretende también confrontar las ideas estéticas del formalista Borís Eijenbaum y de su contemporáneo Mijaíl Bajtín surgidas en los años veinte, pero que se proyectan sobre los problemas del mundo actual.
