ELECTRONIC DEMOCRACY AS AN ALTERNATIVE FORM OF MANAGEMENT IN UKRAINE

Abstract
The article deals with the category of «e-democracy» as an effective form of the mechanism of public administration in Ukraine. «Electronic democracy», as a form of government, is explored through openness of state power, increasing the effectiveness of political governance and active involvement of citizens in the process of making policy decisions on the basis of information and communication technologies. It is proved that e-democracy is oriented on a qualitative increase in the level of participation of citizens in political life, that is, on the initiative «from below» in the management of the state. Ukraine’s electronic democracy is provided primarily by electronic information resources of state authorities. It has been established that it is electronic democracy that is an innovative form of government, in which every citizen has the opportunity to participate directly in making state decisions that can relate to it.
