ELECTRONIC TECHNOLOGIES IN THE FORMATION OF LIBRARY OF HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS

Abstract
A special place in the modern information society is given to libraries of higher educational institutions, which provide a high level of education and training of future specialists. At present, the library of the higher educational institution is an active implementer of new information technologies, which are actively used and provide the maximum full information support to different categories of users, and significantly increases the quality of education and science at the university. The urgency of the topic is determined by the need to study the development of electronic technologies in the formation of the library of higher education institutions; Analysis of types of electronic resources in collections of university libraries; Acquaintance with the history of the formation of the Scientific Library of the Kyiv National University of Culture and Arts and the study of the peculiarities of its foundation, introduction of electronic technologies. The scientific novelty is that it reveals the theoretical and methodological approaches of librarians to the problem of the formation of funds of libraries of higher educational establishments by means of electronic technologies. The system of automation of library processes in the Scientific Library of the Kyiv National University of Culture and Arts, as well as the processes of forming a library fund, is generalized. The structure of work is determined by the purpose and objectives of the study.
