Eligiusz Niewiadomski jako urzędnik Ministerstwa Sztuki i Kultury (lata 1918-1921)

Abstract
Eligiusz Niewiadomski – widely associated as the killer of the first President of the Republic of Poland, Gabriel Narutowicz – in his rich biography also had a period of work in the central office of state administration: the Department of Art of the Ministry of Religious Denominations and Public Education, the Department of Fine Arts of the Ministry of Culture and Art. In the fond of the Ministry of Religious Denominations and Public Education (the Central Archives of Modern Records) have been preserved nearly 1000 pages of various documents about his work as a civil servant. From these documents emerges the image of Niewiadomski as an efficient and conscientious clerk, holding a high position in hierarchy of the Ministry of Art and Culture, enjoying the trust of the management of this office, trying to maximally use his huge theoretical knowledge and rich painting experience.
