Emotivity and emotionality in the context of iconicity (based upon the novel by R. Bloch “Psycho”)

Abstract
The paper focuses on explaining and delineation the notions of emotionality and emotivity. Emotivity and the ways of its actualization in horror novel is revealed via iconicity principles in text environment. It is proved that iconicity is a powerful tool for emotional impact, and emotivity as a means of a literature text, stimulates emotionality, which at the same time functioning with the language and compensates language means, thereby causing emotional resonance between addresser and addressee.
