EMPLOYING GEOPHYSICAL METHODS TO ASSESS LEVEE CONDITION

Abstract
The article shows the usefulness of employing geophysical methods to inspect the condi-tion of levees. The principle of geoelectrical method measurement and the results obtained are given. The radar method is presented in a similar way. The method proposed by the author, where a levee forms a coupling between two magnetic loops, has been presented in the form of a much more detailed review. The advantage of the recommended method is its functionality: a measurement can be taken while driving. The advantages of this method have been compared to others, and sample measurements are specified.
