ENDIS 4.0 as replay on requirements of Industry 4.0 in field of power supply and automation for mining
Journal Title: Mining – Informatics, Automation and Electrical Engineering - Year 2018, Vol 533, Issue 1
Abstract
This article presents a new product line for energy distribution and control ENDIS 4.0 from the perspective of the Industry 4.0 requirements implemented by Europe. The paper presents various variants of the technical solution and possibilities of configuration and quick reconfiguration. The authors also included their remarks and observations of the current level of implementation of the Industry 4.0 guide-lines in the Polish as well as world mining industries.

Mining of thin coal seams using surface-underground methods
Shallow hard coal deposits in the form of seams can be mined using surface-underground methods. These methods are characterized by the exploitation of the deposit from the surface, while the mining process itself takes p...
Impact of setting load on bearing capacity of props in a powered support unit
Experience acquired for a number of years proves that the fluidity of production processes in longwalls depends on proper support of the excavation roof. A properly matched power support unit is not enough to guarantee g...
Robotics in mining exemplified by Mobile Inspection Platform
The paper presents the Mobile Inspection Platform (MPI) – the innovative solution in the area of safety in underground coal mining. The robot is equipped with devices and sensors that allow the safe exploration and monit...
Performance augmentation of continuous miner based system in India: a reliability based approach
A Continuous Miner (CM) is a globally competitive machine, capable of boosting the production of underground mines, which is imperative for future production growth. However, the geological factors and other mining param...
Main objectives underlying mathematical model of powered support unit operation in terms of its working capacity
This study synthesizes the operating data of a longwall system to determine the impacts of time, compressive strength of roof rock strata, rate of face advance, and distance between the cross bar in a roof support from t...
