Abstract
The text examines the attitude of the Polish society to direct participation in the production and use of electricity, as well as the attitude towards the challenges of energy transition to low-carbon energy sources. It takes into account the current and planned actions in the field of Polish energy policy and presents the social and political condition related to the development of renewable energy sources. It indicates the most important legislative and economic issues and it’s social dimension.<br/><br/>
