Energy security in Russia-EU relations: the changing scenarios of complex interdependence

Abstract

This article aims to examine the Russia-EU relationship in two steps: characterizing Russia as an energy surplus nation and the EU as an energy deficit nation to understand their energy interdependence; and outline the scenarios of possible imbalances in vulnerabilities in this relationship of complex interdependence.
