ENERGY STORAGE SYSTEMS
Journal Title: Journal of Science And Arts - Year 2011, Vol 14, Issue 1
Abstract
In this paper you will find an overview of systems and energy storage techniques and a comparison of the important characteristics of them. Delocalized electricity production and the introduction of variable, fluctuating sources (renewable energy: solar, wind turbines, etc.) increase the difficulty of stabilizing the power network, mainly due to a supply-demand imbalance. It is therefore convenient to generate the energy, transmit it, convert it, and then store it if need be. More than ever then, the storage of electrical energy has become a necessity.

NEW RHEOLOGICAL MODELS FOR MINERAL OIL
This article proposes new rheological models for mineral oil. The purpose of this study was to find an exponential and linear dependence between temperature and dynamic viscosity of mineral oil, using the equations. Equa...
THE COMPARISON OF THE POTENTIAL PROCEDURE WITH THE FIXED FRACTION PROCEDURE
The Potential Procedure (PP) and the Fixed Fraction Procedure (FFP) are two methods which are used in artificial learning theory. The artificial process of learning of intelligent machines is possibl by using t...
RADIATION EFFECTS ON POLYPROPYLENE NANOCOMPOSITES CONTAINING
TITANIA
Nanocomposites containing polypropylene as host material and titania were studied over a large concentration range (up to 30 %). The contribution of inorganic phase was evaluated by nonisothermal chemiluminescence w...
THE STUDY OF SCALE FORMATION ON HOT ROLLED INGOTS AND BILLETS
During the heating for rolling, ingots and billets are affected by the chemical action of the heating atmosphere. Between the heating environment elements and steel components there are taking place chemical reactions in...
STRUCTURAL ANALYSIS OF PAN FIBER BY X-RAY DIFFRACTION
Polyacrylonitryle (PAN) fibers are used on a large scale in textile industry but, some sorts of PAN fibers are valuable precursors for specific carbon fiber (CF) due to their best fitness to the purpose e.g. for high str...
