ENERGYLOADING OF THE FRICTION PAIRS OF THE BAND-BLOCK BRAKE DURING AIR-LIQUID COOLING IN THE DRAWWORK

Abstract
The rate of descent of the drill string in the wellbore depends on their weight and the effectiveness of the mechanical and the hydrodynamic brake. In this case the main loading falls on the friction units of band-block brakes of drawworks. The friction pairs of the brakes work at sliding speeds up to 6.0 m/s, the unit loads up to 1.2 MPa and surface temperatures 1000,0°C and above. The last one of operating parameters is a destabilizing because significantly reduces the dynamic coefficient of friction, and as a result, the braking torque decreases significantly. Therefore we should indirectly cool the pair of friction brake. We’ve consider the following questions: design features of the air-liquid cooling system of the tribocoupling of the band-block brakes of the drawworks; the dynamic of washing of the surfaces of the chamber walls of composite brake pulley by liquid; the ratio between the boundary layer and external flow of the circulating fluid in the chamber of the composite brake pulley; determining the path of the mixing of the fluid layers in chambers of composite brake pulley during their rotation.
