Environmental aspects of use of flowback water from shale gas extraction and preliminary studies of possibility of utilizing drilling muds for land reclamation

Abstract
The article presents collected information on legal regulations related to waste management in force in Poland. It also describes changes in waste management introduced by the new Act on waste. Analysis of problems related to waste production was carried out, mainly for management of wastes of code 0105. Preliminary studies at laboratory scale were carried out to allow assessment of possibility of utilization and manners of use of waste drilling muds.
