ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY: GLOBAL MEASUREMENT AND NATIONAL REALITIES

Abstract
The problem of environmental sustainability and its measurement at the global level were investigated. The essence of the Environmental Sustainability Index and its quantitative determination were determined. The level of environmental sustainability in the national economy is determined and comparative analysis with other countries of the world is conducted. The necessity of formation of a new philosophy of the national economy development, taking into account the environmental component, is proved.
