KNOWLEDGE AS A PRECONDITION OF SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT IN HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS

Abstract
The article investigates knowledge as a precondition of sustainable development in higher education institutions. We examine the essence of the 'knowledge' and 'information' economic categories, and their correlation. Common and distinctive features of information and knowledge are defined. We offer a classification of knowledge that is used in work of higher education institutions.
