EVALUATION OF ECONOMIC INSTRUMENTS OF CURRENCY POLICY

Abstract
The paper investigates the essence and types of the instruments of foreign currency policy. Economic instruments of foreign currency policy of National Bank of Ukraine are analyzed. The dynamics of the official exchange rate of the Hryvnia against the major currencies is estimated. Also, the article examines the adequacy of foreign-exchange reserves. It’s established that the most effective instrument of influence on the exchange rate in Ukraine is foreign exchange intervention.
