Essence and characteristic of the head’s managerial role in the penitentiary system of Ukraine

Abstract
The author considers the head’s managerial role in the penitentiary system, shows the essence and characteristic peculiarities of the head’s managerial role in the process of forming the criminal and executive service. The author explains the main functions of the head’s managerial role taking into account a specific character of his appointment and needs.
