ETIOLOGY, PHENOMENOLOGY, PREVENTION AND THERAPY OF WORKAHOLISM (ON MATERIALS OF POLAND)

Abstract
In the article, written on the materials of Polish studies, from the perspective of work pedagogy analyzed the selected issues of the problem of workaholism as a behavioral dependence. The psychosocial characteristic of workaholic is given; describes the phases of the development of workaholism as a lengthy process according to the views of various authors. The analysis of three main factors of the development of dependence on work: socio-demographic, family and personal. The consequences of workaholism in various spheres of human functioning are considered: somatic, psychic and social. Particular attention is paid to the manifestation of the phenomenon of co-dependence on the wives of workaholics and the negative effects of education in such a family for children. Describes psychological profile of adult children of workaholics. Three levels of workaholic prevention (individual, institution of work, and general-social) are considered. It is indicated on the possibilities of positive influence of different forms of therapy and the importance of self-help groups of Anonymous Workaholic overcome dependence on work.
