Evaluating effects of some herbicides on weeds in field bean (Phaseolus vulgaris)

Abstract
The Bean is one of the main agricultural products in Iran. Mostly in the Lorestan province and the city Azna is grown. One of the most important factors in reducing the quantity and quality of their beans are weeds. Efficacy of four herbicides, Trifluralin, Ethalfluralin, Sethoxidim and Bazagran were investigated. For control weeds of bean fields by chemical methods, experimental design was a randomized complete block design with 5 treatments and 4 replications was conducted in 2012. Bean growth characteristics such as plant height, number of pods per plant, pod length, seed weight and number of seeds per pod in the different treatments were evaluated with Duncan's test. Data collection and analysis of variance was performed and means were compared using Duncan's test. Results showed Bazagran herbicide compared to other herbicides are more effective in weeds control.
